Karaokeeeee!

I love Karaoke! I really do! I'm actually a singer - a very shy one. So, I use Karaoke as an escape, an opportunity to let my hair down and belt out some tunes in a "safe" environment. "Safe" cos you know you ain't gotta know how to sing during Karaoke. Lol.

So, yesterday, I was super bored! Yeah, I said it. I get bored from time to time. You know you do too! :p Anyways, I was chilling at...*covers eyes*....my favorite ice cream spot....AGAIN and then a friend invited me to come to Karaoke and boy, did I have fun or what??? It took a while for the mic to get to me though. They kinda skipped me. Lol. Anyways, I sang "I Believe in You and Me", yeah, I love love (Check out my other blog http://thelovechest.blogspot.com/). It was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great time! The DJ got carried away man times but the crowd was loving it so hey!

So if you're looking for an alternative thing to do in Lagos, try Karaoke!

Good Ole Salsa!

Oh, how I had missed salsa! I rediscovered my love for salsa a few years ago right here in Lagos! Yes, believe it! We salsa here and we salsa good! Now, I lived in Spain for two and a half years and didn't take a salsa class! I know, I know, not good but when I was re-introduced to it here a few years ago (re-introduced cos I had it in me.Lol), there's been no looking back! Well, not until a little while ago when I stopped going cos I just got really busy. But like with everything, if you wanna do it, you gotta make the time and be deliberate about it and that's what I did tonight y'all! I went and got my salsa on and boy do I feel great or what!!

It’s a great workout for those of you who don’t like the gym. You’ll get a really good sweat. Down side is you kinda have to touch other sweaty people! Ewwww! But it’s so much fun, you have to ignore it. It’ll hit you though once you get home! LOL. And you add to your swag status cos man, if you can salsa, you have a different kind of swag. Believe me!

There are classes all over Lagos on the Island and Mainland throughout the week.Make sure you get proper salsa shoes #NoteToSelf cos dancing with flats is not comfy at all. Wear comfy clothes, almost like you’re going to the gym cos you will sweat that dripping kind of sweat and be careful! Someone stepped on my toes today L and it was not funny!

Have fun!

An Alternative Spot

So, I'm here chilling at my favorite ice cream spot in Lagos for the second day in a row! *sigh* This is because my other favorite spot is currently closed as they are looking to move to a new place. So in the meantime, here I am, with no place to hang out after work. Now, of course there are places to go - the usual cliche spots but you know me, I'm looking for the alternative. That or those places in Lagos where I can go and hide! Lol. Where I can do some work quietly and meet interesting people. So this is a call for alternative options. I'm not looking for your usual restaurant or lounge. I'm looking a nice place to go after work, where I can straight up chill. A place with class and edge and culture - SMOKING FREE preferably. Holler if you know a place and I'll go explore and report back :)
